Hi Marshall - thanks for the great feedback (and getting people to download the app!). I'll got through the points you raise
1. Being able to track other peoples balloons that you have responded to.
Pretty much the top request from users at the moment and scheduled for the next major release of the app. The way it would work would be that you could 'favourite' a balloon that you've responded to. It would then appear in a special 'favourites' part of the balloon tracker. There'd probably have to be a limit on how many could be favourited at any one time just to stop the phone clogging up!
2. The ability to respond on balloons that you have sent out yourself.
We thought about this through the design and decided against in app replies as it seemed to clash with the fact that the balloon is floating around the world. We've tried to push the idea of using twitter ids so that people can send tweets to each other if they want to continue a conversation started by a balloon.
3. Labeling launched balloons for easier tracking later on.
Agreed on this one. I'm struggling to find some balloons I launched and have to have a few goes in the tracker before I get it. Whilst balloons don't have a title, as such, we might be able to put the first line of the message somewhere on the tag shown in the tracker (though space is tight). We'll investigate!
4. Push notification or an email showing some one has responded to your balloon.
Coming in the next major version. Will likely be push notification. We're not too keen on the email approach as asking for email might put a fair number of people off.
5. The option to start with first attachment working our way to the most recent one would be cool too!
Yes - this was a tricky one. Sometimes you want to see the most recent tag but quite often you want to see how the balloon's story has built up from the first tag. We'll probably solve it by putting tag direction as an option in the settings (to go with the 'sounds off' option that is currently there).
